FETISHWEEK – BDSM Cures Erectile Dysfunction and is the New G-Spot!

You may not realize it yet, but something fairly radical has happened over the past couple of months.  This issue’s Fetish Feature is about a couple of doctors who discovered a cure for Erectile Dysfunction by studying BDSM.  Their findings are in a book titled “The Dominatrix, The Doctor & The Cure”.  A couple of weeks ago Dr. Oz said that BDSM was “the new G-Spot” for women.  Doctors and professionals of all types are opening up to the stimulating possibilities of kink play.

Of course, those of us who have practiced BDSM know the effects to our libido and our relationships and our own personal development.  BDSM is about stimulating the mind in so many wonderful ways.  Yes, that includes sex, but it can be so much more than that as well.  The media, doctors and academia are not ready to fully embrace BDSM, and there are certainly holdouts (see the Dr. Drew story in the Fetish Fab Five), but for the first time there is momentum in the right direction.

To hear credentialed professionals tout the sexual benefits of consensual kink is something that is very new and very radical.  Sure, there have been plenty of vanguards over the years, but not on mainstream daytime television, or in Newsweek, or USA Today.  This is different.  This is significant.
